Terms of use.

Sidecar Ledger is a preflight aid, not a backup service. Capability declarations summarize documented and tested behavior but cannot guarantee how every application version or custom configuration handles metadata.

Your responsibility

Keep verified backups, test a representative copy, and review the generated report before moving or deleting an archive. The CLI is intentionally read-only, but commands you run after receiving its recommendations may not be.

Open-source CLI

The CLI is provided under the MIT License, including its warranty disclaimer. You may use, inspect, modify, and redistribute it under those terms.

Pro route pack

Pro costs $19 as a one-time purchase and unlocks the browser-based migration field notes for the licensed user. The core CLI, safety verdicts, JSON output, privacy controls, and accessibility features remain free.

Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and handles checkout and refunds. A refund automatically revokes the corresponding license. You may restore an active license on another device by pasting its token.

Fair use and changes

Do not abuse the verification service or distribute license tokens. Capability data may be corrected as applications change. Material changes to these terms will update the effective date.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the product is provided “as is” without warranty. We are not liable for lost photographs, metadata, edits, revenue, or indirect damages. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
